  • Today I will be reviewing, briefly, Uncanny X-men # 2 and # 3. We will meet two villains, both of which you've probably heard of. We will see how the Vanisher got his start, and the first exploits of The Blob.

Volume Two opens with the team rushing back to the Professor, who has mentally called for them. Beast goes up a wall and rides the top of a train. Angel

So here is the first installment of my reading the entire run of Uncanny X-Men starting, yes, with Issue # 1 on Marvel Unlimited.

Let's get right into it. The cover (show above) bills them as the strangest superheroes of all. The characters look dramatically different from what we are used to with modern incarnations. You might not even recognize the

  • Let me reinforce this, I am terrible at previewing books.  I spoil, I am a spoiler, a habitual line crossing spoiler.  I’ll try not to spoil this issue, but no promises will be made.

The OSSM crew delivered another hit!  These guys have a run away success on their hands.

The book picks up right where issue one did.  Same pace, same level of energy, and enough “Holy crap” moments that’ll make you

  • So the most unpronounceable weapon in the world will now be wielded by a female Thor.  Interestingly enough, the hammer reads “Whosoever holds this hammer, if HE be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor”.

It’s clear that this isn't a spin off character or a side kick.  This is Thor, and she’s got boobs.

And that’s cool, and as long as the story pulls everything together

  • Ronan the Accuser

    Portrayed By:  Lee Pace
    First Appearance:  Fantastic Four #65

Ronan is the law enforcement chief of the alien race of the Kree.  He is an interesting choice for antagonist in the

  • Hello readers of CTG! I’m going to try out a new monthly article highlighting some of the big releases from the current Previews magazine. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Previews it is a giant monthly publication which features every comic and tons of comic-related merchandise which will be sold in shops across the world 2 months in advance.

    Each month I’ll
  • There have been a number of iterations of the Guardians of the Galaxy over the years.  The upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe version of the team originally came together during the Marvel cosmic 2007/8 crossover “Annihilation:  Conquest,”  where they came together to aid the Kree when the Phalanx took control of their solar sector following the events of the “Annihilation” crossover.  This is meant to be a brief introduction to the world of the

  • Happy Independence Day weekend, boys and girls!  Let’s put away those manga collections and those beautiful painted Moebius books and read something American for a change!  Let’s read something so ingrained with America and American culture it could only come from America itself! (Or the pages of Judge Dredd, but that’s another article for another writer.)  Let’s read a comic built on dread, paranoia, and fear.  Fear of an apocalyptic future and a

  • It’s hard when you’re a fan, going to watch a major movie blockbuster of one of the most iconic storylines of quite possibly your favourite franchise of all time. If you like it too much, you’re clouded by bias, and then if you’re too critical, you just come off as assholish and can’t accept that different mediums will always be different in
  • Post Calgary Expo is such a strange feeling; gone is the weekend of readjusting spandex, lugging around a backpack full of snacks and vitamin water, while preciously balancing an armful of gorgeous prints in arm. Now that I’ve had a couple of days to muse over my weekend, this’ll be a summary of events in retrospect—probably a little more critical as I am wont to do, but trust me, there was a lot of elation as the weekend occurred and the Expo truly gets better with each
