X-Force continues to investigate several instances of telefloronic control of various human hosts.
This was an interesting issue. I did enjoy it somewhat as it gave us a look further into Xeno’s plans and attacks on the mutants. How Xeno has been manipulating several parties to do their dirty work. Though one issue that I have is Man-Slaughter feels very much like just another Man-Thing. Would the story have been better served using Man-Thing than creating a new character that is extremely similar? Either way I do like how this story played out and the use of Krakoa to help deal with Man-Slaughter.
This issue we also get to see just how pompous Beast continues to be. He really has become such an unlikeable character. I can’t see how he could really be redeemed at this point. With the Inferno event coming I wonder if all Beasts secrets will come out then as it is an event set to really shake things up.
I also feel that X-Force needs some more members. At the start of the series, it did feel like a team book. The C.I.A. of Krakoa dealing with threats. Lately it is more of a Kid Omega or Wolverine solo book with a few cameos. While this isn’t a bad thing, what really made the book shine was the element of them being the C.I.A. of Krakoa. I hope we can get back to that soon. I do think the book could really use someone like Banshee who has Interpol training.
Overall, this was a fun book that gives us a look into more of Xeno’s plans. They continue to be a threat manipulating others to do their bidding. While nothing major comes out of this book. Some alliances are made that could benefit Krakoa in the future.
