X-Force works to clean up one of Beast's messes.

This issue was interesting. This is titled as a Wolverine issue, but inside it's all X-Force. That's not inherently bad it is a bit jarring though after we had been following a story involving the vampire nation. Someone only following Wolverine might be a bit lost as this issue doesn't cover what X-Force's roll is at the Gala. It just jumps right in where the X-Force issue left off.

Getting into this issue, for awhile now I've not been a fan of Beast and some of the choices he has made as the head of X-Force. It was interesting to see some of his choices bite him back. Some of his team also push back and disagree with him. Things are unraveling but does Beast even care?

There was a conversation between Beast and Emma in this issue. I wasn't surprised at some of the conversation but something Beast said was exactly what I have been feeling while I've been reading him the past while. This conversation also seems to overshadow this issue a lot. Some other shocking things happen but their impact is lost because we keep revisiting the questionable choices made by Beast.

I do wonder how things are going to go now that most of Beast's secrets are out in the open. We have seen over the years many villains become reformed, but could we actually now be seeing a hero fall and become a villain?

Overall this was an adequate issue. It had some moments of excitement and political intrigue but many of it was overshadowed by the actions of a leader.

7/10
