The mutants step onto the main galactic stage.
Wow what an issue! While most of this issue was the presentation to the Galactic Representatives there were some more touching moments as well.
One of the moments I really enjoyed was between Captain America and Doctor Doom. It was great seeing a more vulnerable side of Cap and also how Doom isn't just the nefarious dictator we have come to know. You wouldn't think these two would have something in common but it is hinted here that they certainly do.
At the end of this issue there is another one that I will not spoil. This moment I was not nearly as much of a fan of. We do get some long awaited closure fans have been asking for. But also acknowledgment that a bad retcon won't be undone either. Some may enjoy the moment, though it does put one mutant in an awkward place, especially with their stance on that other character.
The main part of this issue though that really stood out was the reveal that we all knew was coming. Even though it was not a surprise, the reveal itself was a display that really had me cheering. The art in this moment especially was so dynamic and it really managed to enhance the effect of the reveal. I loved this moment so much and I'm really excited to see where this is going.
Overall this book continues to be one of the best series in Reign of X. We really get to see the mutants positioning themselves as a potential galactic superpower. The humans are not going to be happy with the developments in this issue.
