Marauders #19 Review
Writer: Gerry Duggan
Artist: Stefano Caselli
Colorist: Edgar Delgado
Publisher: Marvel Comics
The Reavers attack Lowtown.
While this wasn't a bad issue, it was nothing outstanding. It felt just adequate than anything. The story was fun but none of the characters really shined in this issue. We got to see some of the Morlock mutants but even they felt underwhelming, Marrow especially.
I honestly feel the Verendi are not a great villain for the mutants. They aren't interesting enough. I used to be excited for an issue of this series to come out and now I'm just reading it because it is an x-series.
This issue does tie up some story elements but it doesn't present anything to be excited about going forward. With Storm leaving this series I have serious doubts about if this series can survive.
Overall this is an adequate issue. I hope this series can find a new direction soon though as this once top series has been falling behind newer and more interesting series.
