Sinister and Mastermind meet, this cannot be good.

Ok, so this book sometimes can be its own worst enemy. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and its dark but quirky style. Though this issue at the beginning it almost takes the absurdity a little too far. There is a fine line and this issue started to cross the line into the ridiculous direction. That being said by the last quarter of this issue everything changed. It got dark, and things got very interesting. That’s one of the reasons I really enjoy this series. Just when you think it may have gone too far off the edge it surprises you and yanks you back in.

Kwannon has really been stepping up and I am really enjoying her character development. She has really become a strong character in this series. I like how much she has stepped into the leader role. I would love to see her interact more with the a-list mutants. I think that would be a really interesting dynamic.

Overall there isn’t much to say about this issue. It’s more setup for the next main story than anything. It has its shaky moments at the start, but then gets really dark and exciting. The next arc is going to be one not to be missed.
