Each issue of Judas was perfect in my opinion and here, the fourth and final issue of the series, we have another perfect issue. I always go into finalies with low expectations because I oftern find myself being disappointed with how things finish. But this issue is an absolute amazing conclusion to this wonderful series.

Jeff Loveness has blown me away with this final issue. With each issue that came out, I thought I knew where it was headed and then he would make me feel differently about a different character each time. Judas’ redemption is such a beautiful thing in this issue. It was devastating to me to watch him being left there alone, despite finding grace and love. It was maybe the only time I have ever gotten choked up while reading a comic book. Though that was sad, it was fascinating watching him give the gift of hope and love even where he is.

Jakub Rebelka’s artwork in this issue is some of the best of the series, which I may have said already about a previous issue, but this truly trumps whatever I had said before. His art in this series does such a great job at creating the atmosphere of the time period the series is set in. This issue had some amazing coloring and the color alone added such an intensity to each and every scene. This is a sad and beautiful story and Rebelka does a perfect job at portraying both beauty and sadness.

The series has been a wild ride and it concludes with this issue, turning that wild ride into an emotional roller coaster. There isn’t anything more I would have wanted out of this final issue. This is another perfect issue in a perfect series.
