Assassin's Creed: Assassin's has been an intense ride introducing us to Charlotte de La Cruze. She seems to be the key that both the Assassin's and the Templars want. This series we have seen the brotherhood induct Charlotte into the fold and use her memories of her ancestors to foil the Templars plans.
Now The Assassin's and Eurdito have come together to stop the Templars from finishing the Phoenix Project. Tensions are running high as Charlotte continues to be the key to stopping the Templars.
This issue we see Charlotte go back into the Animus to the memories of Giovanni Borgia in attempts to communicate with Consus again. Things don't go as smoothly and Charlotte and her team encounter false memories that they need to work through to find the truth.
I really enjoyed this book and the series as a whole. There is so much action and adventure and it really captures the essence of the games. Especially now with the appearance of Ezio a fan favorite character from the games and the Phoenix Project that was introduced in Assassin's Creed Unity.
It's great to see a storyline from the games that seems to be a major part of the Assassin's Creed universe continue in the comics so we can find out more about it without waiting for the next game to be released.And it is just that, Assassin's Creed is a universe and we are finally really seeing the universe that has transcended into different mediums over the years now start to really connect together.
That being said one of the draw backs of one of the plot points from the games becoming a focus in the comics is that if you have not played the games, you might be a little lost as to what the Phoenix Project is about and why the stakes are so high.
If you are a fan of the games you should definitely pick up this series. It is so much fun and is going to have an impact on the Assassin's Creed universe you're not going to want to miss. If you are new to the series you'll still enjoy this series and maybe it will encourage you to pick up the games to find out more about the Assassin's versus Templar wars.
