Justice League Dark is THE DC title to follow. Each issue in this series has been stupendous and constant in quality. The storylines are so grand and engaging and the visuals are frighteningly mind-blowing.

This issue sees the end to the Justice League Darks’ face off with the Upside-Down Man. Zee’s training and feats have all culminated to this moment. Ram V understands this team and each character’s incentives. The scenes between Zatanna and her father are bittersweet and heartfelt. Not an issue in this arc has felt drawn out and V has definitely made the Upside-Down Man one terrifying threat feels like a foe worthy of this team’s attention.

It’s hard to decide on what aspects I like best to this series, the voices of the characters feel so natural, but the art in these issues-wow! Nahuelpan and Chung have such intricate designs to each panel and even when the background is bare, it still highlights the mood of each character. Chung’s colors stand out and flush each panel with fantastical elements. It’s easy to burn through this issue (in a good way), but there’s a page spread with Langstrom on the ground that gave me pause and I just had to admire how lovely it is.

There’s magic in these pages and I cannot stress enough how spectacular this series is. If the chance ever presents itself, definitely give this book a shot.
