American Vampire : Lord Of Nightmares #3
As Felicia’s son Gus falls under the spell of Dracula, Felicia & Agent Hobbes journey to Germany for some much needed back up, but the help they need might be more than they bargained for.
The Team
Written by Scott Snyder (Severed, Batman : The Black Mirror, Iron Man Noir), illustrated by Dustin Nguyen (Supernatural : The Dogs Of Edinburgh, Batman/Superman : Torment, Batman Beyond : Industrial Revolution) & coloured by John Kalisz. Published by DC/Vertigo Comics
The Pros
The story shifts to the snowy environments of Germany and has an eerie B.P.R.D. vibe to it. Felicia & Agent Hobbes have some unexpected alliances to forge in preparation for the coming of Dracula. In bed with devils to kill the devil himself I suppose. Mr. Glass’ Mr. Rogers approach is very humorous, but don’t let his appearance fool you, he’s a slimy little bastard who serves his master well.
The Cons
The story slows down just a tad, but maybe I’m just nitpicking.
The Outcome
So far, this mini series is an awesome read & a first-class companion book for Snyder’s monthly American Vampire title.
