It should be no surprise that this month’s issue of DuckTales is an enjoyable comic book. This series delivers some of the most solid comic book writing and artwork every month. This issue’s two stories are full of adventure and humor and we even get some great heartwarming moments.
The first story, “Welcome to Beagle Island,” is a funny story about Uncle Scrooge, Huey, Dewey, Louie, Webby, and Launchpad getting trapped on the Beagle Boys’ island by the Beagle Boys themselves. This story has a lot of funny moments, especially with Launchpad’s ridiculous dialogue. Having Launchpad and Webby in all of these issues has been a treat because they are great characters that fit in really well with the gang. Gianfranco Florio and Lucio De Giuseppe do a great job of creating really sharp artwork in this story, full of details and beautiful color.
The second story, “The Giant Butterfly of Duckburg,” is a fantastic story about Uncle Scrooge being there for Huey when he needs a father-figure for the Junior Woodchuck Father and Son Camping Trip. With Donald not being able to make it due to a new job, Uncle Scrooge steps in. We get to see some more hilarious Launchpad dialogue in this story with him as the Junior Woodchuck leader. This story is fun, adventurous, and has a heartening ending and the artwork is beautiful and crisp.
Every issue of this series has some incredible covers and this month's are great as usual. Check those out below this review.
Overall, the whole issue is amazing and is entertaining from start to finish. The story, the dialogue, and the artwork all come together to create a comic book that is enjoyable for all-ages. I recommend grabbing this issue to any comic book readers because I am sure that it will be loved by all.
