This new DuckTales series is easily becoming a favorite current series of mine. Each issue is packed with really fun stories and fantastic artwork. This fifth issue is no different in either of those departments.

The issue contains two stories with the first being “Go, Go, Golden Years.” In this story, Scrooge McDuck seeks a solution to his aging body and consults a strange old scientist who claims he’s found the answer. This story great because the story is kind of strange and the dialogue is hilarious. I laughed out loud several times throughout this first story.

The second story, “A Series of Unfortunate Substitutions,” isn’t really a strong one. It’s definitely not bad or boring, it’s just not one of the much more unique and entertaining stories that this series has made me expect. Launchpad gets into a flying accident and Dewey wants Launchpad to give him flying lessons, which Donald is very against. The story is silly and will be fun for the younger audience that this series is aimed at.

I’m very glad that DuckTales is back and that they have started this series, which is bringing me a lot of entertainment every month. The series is a great way to bring people my age nostalgia and younger generations a new love for DuckTales. This issue is another fun comic book full of adventure and comedy that makes for a great comic book reading experience and is a great addition to the series.
