X-Men Gold #6
Writer: Marc Guggenheim
Artist: R.B. Silva
Publisher: Marvel Comics
Things are not looking good as this new Sentinel is attacking everyone with a mutation, any kind of mutation. Every hero in New York is on the scene but they all are going to die unless this Sentinel can be stopped.
The intensity level in this series has been off the charts. It's so great to have amazing X-books of this quality again. I really enjoyed seeing the battle going on as well as the battle inside Rachael's head. Her working through a lot of the issues she has had over the years and finding herself was great to see. The cameos along the way were so awesome as well. As with any X-book we are left with a cliffhanger and I'm glad this is a twice monthly book because I don't think I could wait a whole month to find out what happens. The only thing negative I could say about this issue is that it seemed to be over too quickly. But is that really a negative thing when you have such an engaging story that flows so perfectly?
It seems like every issue the bar gets set higher and higher. If you are an x-fan and you haven't jumped onto the Gold train yet you are really missing out. This is one of the best X-books we have had in years.
