DC's Justice League Heading North
Exciting news coming out of the DC camp this morning at Toronto's FanExpo that their Justice League of America title will be moving their base to Canada! Launching in 2014 Justice League of America will become Justice League of Canada. Even more exciting is that it will be written by Toronto's own Jeff Lemire. Lemire announced via Twitter this morning that joining him on pencils for the book will be Mike McKone.
Lemire has said he will introduce some new Canadian heroes but for the most part the team will consist of Justice League A-Listers. One character he did say will be prominent on the team will be Silver Age hero, Adam Strange, who will be Canadian in his New 52 incarnation.
As a Canadian, I can't wait to see what Lemire has in store for this title. Finally the possibility to see Batman in a thermal underwear get-up stomping through the snow or Superman flying over the Parliament Buildings or Aquaman swimming in the Rideau Canal!
More details will be provided at the official announcement this afternoon at FanExpo.
