The great thing about this series is that Aquaman manages to keep evolving and keeping the stories fresh and exciting. We have gone from classic superhero action to political thriller, to now it seems more of a thirller/ horror.

Aquaman has joined the Aquamarines in a mission to investigate the strange water and its effects it has been having on people. What mysteries lay at the bottom of the sinkhole in the Gulf of Mexico? We will just have to wait to find out.

This issue was so much fun. I loved the shift in style to a more thirller/horror tone. I really felt reading it that it was like watching one of the classic Sigourney Weaver Alien films. It had that same sort of layout for the story. It was even creepy when Aquaman and the Aquamarines were investigating the abandoned research base.

The only thing I would have liked with this story would have been a little darker and more edgy art. Really bring on the creep with some more shadows and stuff. The art is this issue is amazing and very well done. I just feel the colors chosen for the issue are a little to bright and colorful for a story that is supposed to be more suspenseful and creepy.

This again is another solid issue and Aquaman continues to be one of the best series from DC Comics. I highly recommend picking this one up.
