Secrets are revealed.

This was an exciting issue. The team continues to battle Tarn but in the process many secrets have been revealed and that will strain some of the relationships. We even see in this issue some of the members of Hellions not taking some of the revealed secrets well.

I’ve said for awhile that this series has really made me a fan of Empath. He’s such an interesting character that seems to just want to watch the world burn. This issue one of the moments that really surprised me and had me excited to see what happens after involved him. It was such a fantastic scene. There are going to be a few ramifications that develop out of this scene including one that involves Havok.

There are also moments in this issue that are going to change Kwannon going forward. Will this send her down a dark path? We will have to wait and find out, but I think things are going to get interesting and I fear for whoever gets in her way.

The art in this series continues to be fantastic. Some of the scenes in this issue especially were so well designed and laid out. I especially loved the big scene with Havok. It was such a visual delight. It also managed to enhance the emotional weight of the scene. Hellions has always had a high level of comedic value to the book. The art in this issue really highlighted that. The expressions on so many of the characters faces was hilarious and really took the jokes to another level.

Overall, this issue laid everything out on the table. Some of the ramifications of the secrets revealed will potentially have lasting impact not only on the members of the Hellions but of other members of Krakoa as well. I’m really excited to see where this book heads next.
