Marauders #8 Review
Writer: Gerry Duggan
Artist: Stefano Caselli
Publisher: Marvel Comics
This issue we see the fallout of Kate’s death, and also we get a look inside the production of the Krakoan flowers.
Wow this series continues to be such an incredible read. This issue especially was sombre but also really exciting at the same time. Kate has never been able to travel through the Krakoan gates, and now with her death we don’t know if she can be resurrected either. I really loved seeing how each member of the Marauders handles the news of her death. Iceman especially, we get to see a side of him we have never really seen before. It was such an incredible scene and really shows how he is an omega level mutant. There are even some very touching moments between characters that I never thought we would see that happen.
The art in this issue is also exceptional. I loved the detail in the action scenes, but also the more emotional moments were just as intense and really drew you in.
Overall this issue took us on quite the emotional rollercoaster. Will Kate be resurrected? We will just have to wait and see. Until then it looks like the Marauders might raise a little hell. This is definitely a must read series.
