Return to the Orchis Forge. Previously the X-Men undertook a mission to the Orchis Forge, resulting in the entire team being lost. Now Xavier and Magneto have a mission for one mutant to return to the Forge.

It may have taken a few issues but this series has really found its grove and quickly jumped to the top of the ‘Dawn of X’ line-up. I really enjoyed how this issue gave us a look back at that first mission in ‘House of X/Powers of X’ and that there was a bit more going on there than what we originally were shown. It really adds more levels to the story. I also liked how this issue showed another side of the new Xavier. There is a darker side to him, using mutants for his needs. While I believe it is still in the best interest of the mutants overall, he obviously has no problem promising things but not have any intention of giving those things to whom he promised them. Though in this issue we see that may come back to haunt him.

That is another part of this issue that really shined. For a while it has been mutants against the rest of the world. Now it seems that we just might get some mutant on mutant fights. That not everyone on Krakoa want the same things. Xavier and Magneto are so focused on the bigger picture that they are failing to notice the impact of all their decisions, intentional or not.

Overall this issue is an exciting entry that throws another element into the mix. Life on Krakoa is going to get even more complicated, and I’m excited for the ride. This is a series that should not be missed.
