Jean Grey #6
Writer: Denise Hopeless
Artist: Paul Davidson
Publisher: Marvel Comics
Jean Grey continues her journey to learn some new skills for her seemingly unavoidable destiny with the Phoenix. This issue we see her seek the assistance of Doctor Strange. She has been hearing a voice in her head, but it turns out she's not crazy and the voice isn't hers.
I really enjoyed this issue a lot. It was so much fun to see impatient Jean interact with Doctor Strange. Magic is not what is used to be so he has to be creative with what he does, this seems odd to Jean but the end results are definitely not what either expected. This again proves to be one of the best series from the X-books side of the Marvel Universe.
We really get pulled into an intense journey and we learn a lot about this new Jean and she learns a lot about herself. This issue is definitely a turning point for young Jean and where things will go from here. I don't want to give anything away but this issue also brought in some nostalgia for me which also helped me to enjoy the book even more.
This is a must read for any x-fan out there. This series and issue especially is so much fun and exciting. This Jean is a blast to follow on her journey and I'm really excited to see what happens next, especially after what happens on the last page of this book.
