Artist: Alessandro Vitti
Publisher: Marvel Comics

Iceman goes on a mission to rescue a new mutant who has just manifested it's powers with his ex-girlfriend Kitty Pryde.

I really enjoyed this issue a lot. I did feel that it is missing something but I can't quite put my finger on exactly what that is. The writing was really well done and the art was beautifully crafted and exciting to look at. But the flow of the issue seemed a bit more forced and not as organic as it should be.

That being said when we get to the strong message of coming out and how difficult it is not just for the person who is coming out but for the loved ones involved it makes up for any shortcomings this series may face. It is so right on the nose and really gives us a real look into the experiences so many people go through in their lives.

I couldn't think of a better character to follow on this journey than Iceman. His humor helps to take a very heavy topic and makes it a fun experience while not taking away from the importance of the message.

Marvel you make me proud and I am so excited to read future issues of this series. I hope it has a long run as this is a much needed series telling a much needed story. Happy Pride month everyone!
