Can this comic stop being so FRICKIN' GOOD?!!! I loved this issue a lot because there were 0 zombies and it still managed to hold my interest. This issue we saw the true meaning of what Rick's vision of the community can really bring with it. We're introduced on the cover to a fair in Rick's part of the world. Maggie shows up of course later on in the issue to tell Rick about what happened with Carl. Rick loses his cool and the journey begins...but not before an extremely well thought out cliffhanger. Too good.

Kirkman knows his comic audience better than he knows his TV audience it seems because the stories laid out in the last few issues and the issues to come are pretty original when compared to the TV show's bland writing. I of course will always wish that he tried to sway AMC into making the series based on the comic fully instead of toned down for the general public. Oh well, at least we can pretend that one day in the future that may become a reality. Great dialogue though. Always love Kirkman's style.

The art team continues to shine monotone treasures all over the page. I can never find anything wrong with what they do. The facial expressions are all masterful, the foiliage is all masterful, the buildings are all masterful, the movement is all masterful, the complete package is all masterful. And yet, even devoid of color, it adds so much to the plot. Perhaps it's my own bias but I believe this is the best black & white comic ever produced. Other companies could learn a thing or two from draining the color out of there franchises. I would imagine that a Batman or Venom comic would be amazing in black & white. Love it.

PICK IT UP!!!!! AHHHH!!!!
