In this issue, we get one of what has become a cyclical occurrence: a stand-alone issue involving a member of the wide-ranging cast that does not revolve around Marko and Alana's family. This time around: we get to catch up on what the Will is up to.

We begin with what seems to be a flashback sequence of a boy named Billy and his sister Sophie being terrorized by their father. However, right when the brutality is about to start, their uncle, The Letter, arrives and is there to take the kids back to their mom. Dad not being to happy about this situation gets some comeuppance almost immediately.

The scene quickly shifts to a new player in the far-reaching tale: Ianthe. Wearing a crystalline mask, we learn that she was able to capture the Will and has been combing through his memories to find anyone that he considers important so that she may then go ahead and kill. Why you may ask? To exact revenge for a past injustice that the Will committed against her then fiance.

This then leads to the revelation of the one secret that has been kept between a certain cadre of characters since the comic began. I won’t spoil it here, but once shown on the page, you’ll know what I’m talking about.

Saga continues to be an excellently written, beautiful drawn book that is really hard to critique from month to month. I will say that this issue does contain one profanity that I would prefer not be in my comics, but I do understand that this is by no means a comic for children.
