Aquaman #1

by lucstclair on November 22, 2011

Arthur has traded his throne of Atlantis for a house in Boston with his queen Mera for a life on the land. Plus: Something evil is coming from the depths of the ocean. Beware… The Trench!

Don’t mess with Aquaman! It’s basically what this new monthly series is trying to sell you and I’m here to tell you… I’m buying it! Over the years Aquaman has always been the less popular super hero, It’s even mentioned in the storyline in a hilarious seaside diner scene. I was never a fan. I don’t know if it was the costume, the fact that he could control the sea life or he was just a copy of Namor from Marvel Comics. Who knows? None of that matters now because this issue is fantastic! Written by Geoff Johns (Green Lantern) and drawn by Ivan Reis (Green Lantern). Like Johns did for Green Lantern, I predict an awesome new direction for Aquaman. This one surprised the hell out of me. What are you waiting for? Pick up this title. From DC Comics. The New 52.
