B.P.R.D. Hell On Earth : Exorcism #2

by lucstclair on July 24, 2012

With the help of an old retired priest named Ota, Agent Strode takes a trip into the subconscious to attempt to release the demon Marquis Andras from his human prison and eventually take her place among the greats of the B.P.R.D.

The Pros

I love these little B.P.R.D. mini series, we get to learn of new & upcoming agents out in the field tackling weird and dangerous cases bring us one step closer to the “hell on earth” event currently taking place. This story’s theme of goat possessions & exorcisms had me thinking about scenes from the movie Drag Me To Hell from Sam Raimi and scenes from The Exorcist as well. Mike Mignola (Hellboy : Seed Of Destruction) & Cameron Stewart have crafted an incredibly entertaining piece of horror fiction that is devilshly good and I hope they work together again real soon.

The Cons

Better than your average B.P.R.D. comics of late, as I find it’s hit or miss with these series.

The Outcome

This was a quick, but fun series and I had a blast reading it. This issue gets a 4 star rating as does the series. Click here for my review of issue #1. From Dark Horse Comics.
