Futures End #10
Written by: Brian Azzarello, Keith Giffen, Dan Jurgens, and Jeff Lemire
Art by: Aaron Lopresti and Art Thibert
Futures End continues to surprise with a solid and engaging story across the board. I still am worried about the stability of the series since it’s being written by four people. Of course, they are all very talented individuals, but it’s not hard to imagine that as the story progress their own style might show, or something of that nature. Initially that seemed to be the case with some sections being intensely stronger than others, but now that all the stories have begun to gain traction it’s easy to see that this machine just needed some oil.
This issue continues the trend solid trend of entertainment it began a few weeks ago. There really wasn’t a boring part this week. All of the teams being assembled are varied, from B-listers to people I never even knew existed Futures End cast is one of the most diverse you can find in comics today. Also, it’s great that there hasn’t been any Batman.
As usual, the art continues to impress with Lopresti stepping in this week. The story keeps chugging along and I’m hoping a Frankenstein, Hawkman, Amethyst, and Atom team book springs out of this.
