Injustice 2 #2 surprises just as Tom Taylor promised. I actually cannot believe how great this issue really was. If you were not initially planning to read this series, I have three words for you. READ IT NOW. I would even suggest buying digital, so you can avoid spoilers, because if you get an issue like this, you definitely don’t want it spoiled for you.

This issue is really divided into two parts. The first part focuses on Green Arrow and Black Canary’s family in this new alternate timeline. They get a visit paid to them by Dr Fate, who basically wants them to help Batman re-build the universe, since Superman was defeated. It’s actually good that Tom Taylor answers a lingering question I had from the first issue so quickly, and just pushes that issue to the side.

We also get the first experience with Connor Lance-Queen, who seems like an annoying kid, but seems like a really fun character as well. It’s funny how DC seems to be knocking it out of the park with their kid characters, such as Jon Kent and Damian Wayne. I have a feeling we will see more of Connor, and he may even play an important part in the story.

It next goes to Harley Quinn and we get a really cool and hilarious moment with her. She was captured by Amanda Waller and informed there was a bomb in her brain. We see Harley just laughing, whilst everyone is looking at her strangely. She then explains that Amanda Waller made one of the greatest mistakes of her life, since Harley Quinn is now Batman’s ally. He is the world’s greatest detective, he would find Harley in practically no time. It is really Tom Taylor paying respect to the character and how cool and badass the character really is.

The rest of the issue I will not spoil for you, since it’s amazing.

In conclusion another solid issue by Tom Taylor, and an issue I would defienetly recommend everyone who is invested in the injustice universe to get. The art by Bruno Redondo is still really good as well. I’m happy Injustice 2 is off to a good start.
