This is our first continuation outside of the DC Rebirth One-Shot coming from the second wave of DC Rebirth. I have to say for me personally this was one of the aspects of DC Rebirth that I found so interesting, with Ray Palmer stuck into the microverse.

This issue was really exploring the history of Ryan Choi and how his and Ray Palmer’s friendship developed from teacher to friend. The moment of realization for why he actually decided to pursue science was really cool in the way that it related to the atom suit. The fact that he is kind of a mess is actually is why this also feels so personal.

This is a series I’m really interested in as I love the idea of legacy in the DC Universe and I am interested how this will be explored further, using both this mentor student pair to explore the microverse. Hopefully this will be done in a much better way than it has been done in Blue Beetle.

In conclusion this is definetly a book I would recommend for anyone who is a fan of the Atom, or someone looking for something new. This is really a great start for any new readers, who may be put off by the idea of having to know a lot to get into the character.
