Daredevil #10

Writer Mark Waid continues his fantastic run on Daredevil with issue number 10. This is the conclusion to the Mole Man arc and I’d have to say it’s the best portrayal of Mole Man I’ve ever read. His creepy side is definitely played up in this issue but you can’t help but feel some sympathy for the little guy at times.  His actions are terrible and unacceptable however they are fueled by loss and heartbreak which garners a certain amount of empathy.

This issue also concludes the Black Cat storyline. It has been handled as a side story throughout the last 2 issues but make no mistake of its importance to the overall storyline. It’s wrapped up quite nicely here with a few surprises and some sexual innuendo that’ll make you chuckle out loud.

The art in this issue is handled superbly by Paolo Rivera. He provides some great action sequences and facial expressions which bring the issue alive. I especially love his work on the cover. It has a creepy throwback feel to it.

Daredevil continues to be my favorite offering from Marvel these days. Mark Waid’s first 10 issues of the series have been a perfect 10 out of 10.
