NOCTERRA #1 first started making noise after I reported last year on the sudden change of profile pictures and banner photos of Scott Snyder, Tony S. Daniel, and Tomeu Morey, all using similar photos that caused a stir across the comic community. I had a conversation with Snyder shortly after where he informed me they were getting ready to announce a new creator owned venture which was NOCTERRA, as well as Snyder announcing his new comic imprint company, Best Jacket Press. The series was first announced via a Kick Starter campaign, where fans could buy various tiers which included, behind the scenes access to the creation of the series, as well as a softcover and hardcover collectors edition of the issue which included the art as well as the stories original script in a wordless format to help launch the print version of the story, which will be released on March 3rd of this year and published under Image Comics.
Snyder had this to say about the upcoming Kick Starter version,
